Celebrate your winter gatherings with a creamy hot cocoa dip! This easy dessert combines the comforting flavors of classic hot chocolate with an edible twist, making it perfect for cozy nights or festive parties. Grab some graham crackers or cookies for dipping!
I think I’m a little in love with hot chocolate, and varieties of the treat.
I’ve made eggnog hot cocoa, frozen hot cocoa, hot cocoa bombs, and hot chocolate ice cream!
This hot chocolate dip is part of a great scheme of a dessert dip board. But since it’s a great recipe on its own, it gets its own post.
The ingredients are super simple!
Cool whip (you can use whipped cream too!), marshmallow fluff, cocoa powder, hot fudge and mini marshmallows. I like Dandies (which also keep it vegetarian).
This recipe is perfect for 1-2 people, and can be doubled or tripled as needed for a party dip!
And of course you can add extra hot fudge and perhaps even some chocolate chips, for extra chocolate flavor.
Graham crackers make a great dipper, but any cookie or dippable dessert will work too!

Ingredients
- 1 cup cool whip (see notes)
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (see notes)
- 1⁄4 cup hot fudge
- 1⁄3 cup mini marshmallows
- graham crackers, for dipping
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, mix together marshmallow fluff, cool whip, and cocoa powder with an electric mixer.
- Transfer to a 14 oz serving ramekin.
- Spoon the hot fudge over the dip and smooth it out with an offset spatula.
- Top with mini marshmallows!
Notes
- You can absolutely double or triple this recipe as needed! This is a perfect size for 2.
- Firm whipped cream can be substituted for Cool Whip - homemade is easiest to get the right texture! This makes for a fluffier version too.
- Instead of cocoa powder, you can use hot cocoa mix or packets for extra sweetness! They include sugar already, so it keep that in mind since this recipe also adds hot fudge.
